SURFACE TENSION

A surface held in a state of containment

$12,500

Formed in sterling silver through Radical Reticulation™, the surface is manipulated into a state of tension—expanding, contracting, and reorganizing itself under sustained heat and pressure.

The objects occupy space as architectural forms—weighty, irregular, and self-contained. Their surfaces suggest a force still held in suspension.

Radical Reticulation™ produces a continuous terrain of compression and release. Rather than concealing these disruptions, the forms hold them visibly within their surfaces.

Triple gilded by hand, the silver is transformed through successive layers of gold, allowing the irregular surface to catch and reflect light across its changing topography. The gilding is not simply a finish; it intensifies the distinction between the constructed form and the volatile surface beneath it.

It is not ornament, but a surface held under tension.
